Zhupanovsky is a volcanic massif located at the
distance 70 km to NE from Petropavlovsk. It consists
of 4 overlapping stratovolcanoes with height up to
3000 m. Photo from 2012.

The 2013-2016 eruption was in the form of short
unregular explosions up to 5 km high.
